Safeguarding
Parental Support
Schools often ask us for support speaking to parents around safeguarding issues, especially (but not only) regarding online safety and devices. We have two key pathways below – one for parents to use themselves and a resource collection for schools to use when talking to parents.
For Parents
Share the ParentSafe website with parents to look through in their own time, pick a particular resource to point them to as part of regular communications, or why not use the site content to deliver a parent session yourself because they can then refer to the same resource when they get home.
Parent Online Safety Presentation for Schools
We know it's not easy to talk to parents about online safety - so we've created a ready to use presentation for you to deliver to them. Find top tips, discussion starters and resources to help empower them to keep their children safe and start those key safeguarding conversations.
For Staff to use with Parents
This collection of resources is not suited to sharing directly share with parents as some may need talking through and the number may be overwhelming, but it is intended to help staff select single or several materials to use with or talk through with parents individually, in a group or attached to a regular newsletter, for example.
